Cataracts are one of the most common, and fortunately, treatable eye conditions in North America. As the eye naturally ages, the crystalline lens, used to focus light on the retina, changes structure and becomes cloudy.
Once diagnosed, cataracts are almost always treatable with a simple surgery.
AMD is an eye disease that can manifest when the macula, the central portion of the retina responsible for detailed and colour vision, deteriorates. The result is vision loss, distorted vision, and blind spots.

Common in seniors, glaucoma is a progressive eye disease affecting the peripheral vision that forms when the eye’s optic nerve, which connects the eye and the brain, is damaged. This is often caused by ocular hypertension, a higher than normal pressure that occurs when excess fluid forms in the eye and cannot properly drain.
